What is Stress?
Stress is the body’s natural response to physical, emotional, or psychological challenges. When stress becomes prolonged, it may interfere with daily functioning and negatively impact overall health.
Stress may result from work pressure, financial concerns, family responsibilities, emotional trauma, chronic illness, poor sleep, unhealthy lifestyle habits, or major life changes. Furthermore, prolonged stress may affect both mental and physical well-being.
Common symptoms include irritability, anxiety, headaches, disturbed sleep, fatigue, poor concentration, muscle tension, digestive problems, mood changes, and reduced productivity. Therefore, managing stress early helps prevent long-term health complications.
According to Ayurveda, chronic stress is primarily associated with an aggravated Vata Dosha, which affects the nervous system and emotional stability. Ayurveda focuses on calming the mind, balancing the doshas, improving digestion, strengthening Ojas, and promoting overall well-being through personalized herbal therapies, yoga, meditation, breathing exercises, and healthy daily routines.
